Affiliated with the Hospital Authority, Tuen Mun Hospital formerly stored medical records in conventional standalone filing cabinets. Continuous expansion of hospital services and yearly accumulation of documents gradually exhausted original storage capacity. Constrained by limited storeroom space, substantial volumes of paper files were piled directly on the floor, resulting in disorganised storage areas. Medical personnel wasted considerable labour and time retrieving documents, leading to poor workflow efficiency and inflated administrative overheads.

The WEBBER team took charge of the project planning and delivered a customised mobile filing storage system. Layout was elaborately designed based on site dimensions and document characteristics to maximise utilisation of existing indoor space. Upon completion, the hospital’s total storage capacity was doubled and irregular file stacking was completely eliminated with well-organised classified storage. The upgrade greatly cuts file searching time, lowers labour wastage and markedly boosts the hospital’s administrative and clinical back-office efficiency, winning official approval from the Hospital Authority.
